In this video Dobrinka Tabakova shares with us on our 50th Anniversary a little about her relationship to the Vale of Glamorgan Festival and how the festival supports the work of living composers every year;
“This is such a unique celebration of the work of living composers, programmes made up entirely of the music of composers who are making music right now. It’s as fresh as warm bread out of the oven.”
Come along to our concert at St David’s Hall on November 13th at 1pm where we will feature Dobrinka’s piece Rhodopa, inspired by the Rhodope mountains. Dobrinka notes; “The Rhodope mountains are famed for being the birthplace of Orpheus. The continuously flowing melody reflects the shape of the ridges and brooks, which carry their ancient song through forests and meadows.”
Don’t forget – tickets are still available and info and booking details for this concert can be found here.
