An exploration of the contemporary flute repertoire that showcases the instrument’s incredible versatility. Jose Zalba Smith’s programme includes the intricate rhythms and textures of Steve Reich, Ian Clarke’s The Great Train Race (a highly entertaining piece that sounds exactly like its title!) and new works by David Roche and Cardiff composer Helen Woods.
