World premiere

Pianos, synthesisers, percussion, toy pianos and samplers all feature in this cutting-edge multi-media feast receiving its world premiere in Cardiff’s newest state-of-the art Concert Hall. Festival favourites, Sandra & Jeroen van Veen provide the live music and soundscapes accompanying a mesmerising film comprising of aerial images from photographer Karel Tomei’s art book NLXL. Tomei’s photographs draw attention to the infinite patterns and series found in our landscapes and van Veen interprets these in his distinctive minimalist style often likened to that of Glass, Nyman and ten Holt.

Dewis addas yw’r gwaith amlgyfrwng egnïol hwn gan y cyfansoddwr/perfformiwr Jeroen Van Veen ar gyfer ymweliad cyntaf yr Wyl â Neuadd Gyngerdd newydd sbon Dora Stoutzker yng Ngholeg Brenhinol Cymru.
