The Vale of Glamorgan Festival seeks new Trustees

The Vale of Glamorgan Festival has been passionately curating and presenting the best in contemporary classical music year after year since its foundation by Welsh composer John Metcalf in 1969. We want to share the joy of listening and discovery with audiences who long to experience the new and progressive, and we work with international composers that are pushing the boundaries to commission new music which reflects the new music culture of today and tomorrow.

We want to recruit new trustees to join our skilled and passionate Board.

We have ambitious and imaginative plans for the development of our work with artists, audiences and communities and we want our Board to reflect that ambition – and, importantly, to reflect a modern, diverse Wales, which brings with it a range of lived experience, cultural backgrounds and musical genres.

We are particularly keen to receive applications from Welsh-speakers, young people (under 30), from Black, Asian and ethnically diverse people, disabled people, people who are LGBTQ+ and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. However, we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and will consider applications on merit.
