At Vale of Glamorgan Festival, we bring the best contemporary and new classical music by living composers to you here in the heart of South Wales.

After the challenges of 2020, the team have been hard at work programming a free 2021 Festival in response to the latest COVID regulations, including online concerts and radio broadcasts.

We’re excited to announce the programme for this year’s Festival, which has moved from its regular May date to September 11 to 16.

As always, we’ll be sharing the joy of exploring music by living composers.. We celebrate legendary Latvian composer Peteris Vasks, whose music channels the sublime allure of nature’s voices. Meanwhile, we’ve commissioned new music from young Welsh composers Sarah Jenkins and David Roche and support the next generation through our Peter Reynolds Composer Studios.

You’ll be able to enjoy all this year’s concerts free, so browse the programme to see what takes your fancy. It’s been a long time. We hope to see you in September!
