Vale of Glamorgan Festival brings the best of contemporary and new classical music from living composers to adventurous audiences from across Wales and internationally.

Our Festival in May 2020 was unfortunately postponed because of the Coronavirus crisis.

However, we were excited to showcase music by many of the artists and composers who would have featured through our Vale of Glamorgan Festival at Home series.

These broadcasts include interviews with boundary-breaking composers such as Huw Watkins and John Luther Adams, and performances of their music by leading Welsh musicians including harpist Anne Denholm and piano-percussion duo George Barton and Siwan Rhys.

We’re also showcasing the talents of emerging composers who took part in our 2020 Peter Reynolds Composer Studio, with recordings by George Barton and Siwan Rhys of brand new pieces by the five participants in this year’s online programme.

Keep your eyes peeled over the coming months for announcements about our May 2021 Festival. In the meantime, the future for many arts organisations is very uncertain, and we ask you to consider donating to support the Festival to help it return next year, via our giving page. DONATE NOW.

Best wishes,
John, Caroline and the Vale of Glamorgan Festival team
